THE STORY

Fun and fabulous, with a blush of drama, our woven Ezee Kai Kimono gracefully balances gorgeous fabric print artistry with feminine appeal. We have crafted this top using natural fibered, eco-friendly Washable Silk Crêpe de Chine chosen for softness, long wearing comfort and minimal care. This popular silhouette draws inspiration from chic iconic capes, robes and kimonos of yesteryear known for their fashion flair and unparalleled comfort. Attention is drawn to an Impressionist floral motif print, which we call "Ezee", to help express your own personal sense of style. With easy care in mind, the "washable silk” fabric selected for this garment makes it a sensible fashion investment.

Our pieced Kai Kimono is inspired by the loose fitting, buttonless kimono silhouette where the length to the bottom hem is shortened to the upper thighs (versus a full length traditional kimono robe where the bottom hem extends to the floor and beyond the feet). Our rendition here features an unstructured front opening that sweeps downward into long points, thus creating a stylish "cascading" drape effect. The peplum piecing is rounded on the backside and there are subtle long darts to the torso toward the lower back. The ¾ length set-in sleeves have trumpet styled arm openings which are cut to provide a fluttering effect. Subtle, single needle stitching throughout captures an elegance that well dressed women desire. This versatile, garment-dyed top is perfect for layering over a coordinating tank dress or sleeveless blouse, making it a smart addition to any thoughtfully planned wardrobe.

Our sublime “Ezee” fabric print draws inspiration from the earlier paintings of renowned French Impressionist, Claude Monet, which captured the sheer beauty and alluring colorations of his personal gardens at his estate in Giverny, France during the early 1900’s. Embodied in our print here are dreamlike sprays of stylized wild flowers rendered into an impressionistic floral motif, paying homage to the famous “plein-air landscape” style of Monet. This artistic effort beautifully complements the luxurious drape of our supple Silk Crêpe de Chine fabric.
