A medium strength natural plant fiber, Cotton is cool, absorbent, and can withstand high temperatures. When fabricated, Cotton releases perspiration quickly, allowing the fabric to “breathe”, thus giving it a premium on comfort and wearability. Because of its’ absorbency, it is easily garment dyed.

THE STORY

Consider then, our flattering Knit Jersey Devon Tunic, which was designed using a TENCEL™/Cotton Blend Knit Jersey fabric chosen for long wearing comfort and minimal care. With costume origins from traditional ballet corps in Europe during the early 1800’s, the elegant tunic design of this silhouette has enjoyed decades of popularity among women of all ages. The refined burnout texture adds a semi sheer and fashionable touch to support the soft hand of the fabric.
Our pullover TENCEL™ Knit Toni tunic top features a band V-neck that is reinforced with backside facing for extra durability. The ¾ length sleeves are finished with simple fold-over hems. A form fitting drape sweeps downward from the shoulders to a bottom hemline that falls to the upper thighs. This is a dual frame silhouette in that there are two tunic frames sewn together to create one top. The major difference between the two is that the inside tunic has a squared bottom hem, whereas the outside tunic hemline has an enlarged handkerchief point to the front left leg and another to the hind right leg. This asymmetrical styling offers subtle, but chic fashion appeal. Tencel lends weight to create long lines and an elegant drape, along with a soft feel and suede-like finish. For the environmentally-conscious, Tencel comes from a creation process using 100% biodegradable cellulose fiber that is processed using an organic solvent, then spun into a luxurious fiber.
Rayon, or Viscose Rayon, was the first manufactured textile fiber, invented in 1884 in France, but has been produced for global commercial use since 1905. Different from other man-made fibers, Rayon is not synthetic, being made from regenerated wood pulp, an Eco-natural, cellulose-rich raw material. Rayon's properties are renowned for their similarity to organic fibers such as cotton and linen. Rayon is soft, strong and absorbent, which makes for an ideal garment in keeping the wearer cool and comfortable. We also love how vibrantly the colors appear on this fabric, enriching our garments with vivid hues.

Our stunning ethnic Mud Print fabric pattern draws inspiration from West African mud cloth textiles, called "Bogolanfini", a language composite of bogo (meaning "earth"), lan (meaning "with"), and fini (meaning "cloth"). Production of this cotton fabric is an ancient home-craft, and finished Bogolanfini are an authentic traditional art form. Our distinctive Mud Print here includes elements and patterns that have no particular symbolic meaning other than to simply look beautiful.
