Our stunning ethnic Mud Print fabric pattern draws inspiration from West African mud cloth textiles, called "Bogolanfini", a language composite of bogo (meaning "earth"), lan (meaning "with"), and fini (meaning "cloth"). Production of this cotton fabric is an ancient home-craft, and finished Bogolanfini are an authentic traditional art form. Such is our TENCEL™ Camp Shirt, which we have fashioned using our signature natural fibered, eco-friendly TENCEL™ fabric chosen for long wearing comfort, durability and minimal care. Design elements used in this silhouette reach back to the “chemise moderne” styles of the early 20th century chiefly known for their minimal aesthetic. Our full bodied rendition here affords an elegant look with clean lines to help express your own personal sense of style.
Our classic "Camp Shirt" features a traditional point collar with a Double stitched button down front. Short Sleeves which cover the back elbow. A full bodied fit with very rich draping offers long wearing comfort. The round bottom hem falls to the hips, has side slits, and the backside is fashionably longer than the front. Subtle stitching throughout the blouse complements the uncomplicated design of this wardrobe staple. Garment dyed richness also adds distinctive character to this versatile piece that pairs well pants, leggings, and designer jeans. For centuries Cotton has been renowned as being the principal clothing fiber of the world, and its’ production is one of the most influential factors in world prosperity and economic stability. A medium strength natural plant fiber, Cotton is cool, absorbent, and can withstand high temperatures. When fabricated, Cotton releases perspiration quickly, allowing the fabric to “breathe”, thus giving it a premium on comfort and wearability. Because of its’ absorbency, it is easily garment dyed.

THE STORY

Consider then, our flattering Knit Jersey Devon Tunic, which was designed using a TENCEL™/Cotton Blend Knit Jersey fabric chosen for long wearing comfort and minimal care. With costume origins from traditional ballet corps in Europe during the early 1800’s, the elegant tunic design of this silhouette has enjoyed decades of popularity among women of all ages. The refined burnout texture adds a semi sheer and fashionable touch to support the soft hand of the fabric.
Our pullover Devon tunic top features a band V-neck that is reinforced with backside facing for extra durability. The ¾ length sleeves are finished with simple fold-over hems. A form fitting drape sweeps downward from the shoulders to a bottom hemline that falls to the upper thighs. This is a dual frame silhouette in that there are two tunic frames sewn together to create one top. The major difference between the two is that the inside tunic has a squared bottom hem, whereas the outside tunic hemline has an enlarged handkerchief point to the front left leg and another to the hind right leg. This asymmetrical styling offers subtle, but chic fashion appeal. Garment dyed richness also adds distinctive character to this versatile silhouette that pairs easily with pants, leggings and designer jeans. This ingenious Tencel blend is a wonderful combination of Eco-friendly fibers that provides durable wear and minimal care practicality. Tencel lends weight to create long lines and an elegant drape. For the environmentally conscious, Tencel comes from a creation process using 100% biodegradable cellulose fiber that is processed using an organic solvent, then spun into a luxurious fiber. The Cotton natural fibers used in this blend give this fabric added strength and “breathability” for long wearing ease. This synergy of fibers also creates a soft textured "hand" which makes for an ideal garment in keeping the wearer clothed in non-abrading comfort.

Our Chelsea Jacket features a wide band collar with frontside double button closure. The buttonless split front opening has backside reinforcement for extra durability. The 3/4 length, pieced Juliet sleeves are finished with simple fold-over trims. The squared bottom hem falls to just below the waistline. There is piecing to the entire torso, with vertical finger pockets to the front of the jacket. Very subtle stitching throughout renders elegant craftsmanship to this unfitted, “box style” silhouette.
