Rayon, or Viscose Rayon, was the first manufactured textile fiber, invented in 1884 in France, but has been produced for global commercial use since 1905. Different from other man-made fibers, Rayon is not synthetic, being made from regenerated wood pulp, an Eco-natural, cellulose-rich raw material. Rayon's properties are renowned for their similarity to organic fibers such as cotton and linen. Rayon is soft, strong and absorbent, which makes for an ideal garment in keeping the wearer cool and comfortable. Our stunning ethnic Mud Print fabric pattern draws inspiration from West African mud cloth textiles, called "Bogolanfini", a language composite of bogo (meaning "earth"), lan (meaning "with"), and fini (meaning "cloth"). Production of this cotton fabric is an ancient home-craft, and finished Bogolanfini are an authentic traditional art form. Our distinctive Mud Print here includes elements and patterns that have no particular symbolic meaning other than to simply look beautiful.

THE STORY
Blending a popular body style with functional assets, we have crafted our woven Taipei Blouse using a natural fibered, eco-friendly Tencel & Rayon blend fabric chosen for long wearing comfort, durability and minimal care. This silhouette features the iconic Mandarin collar, one of the hallmarks of Oriental apparel design, used here as a simple, but vogue element. Our Taipei Blouse embodies several other feminine touches that render a soft look to match the sumptuous drape of our signature Tencel fabric.
Our Taipei Blouse features a twin-stitched Mandarin style collar that sweeps into a V-neck. The button down front sports metal shank buttons and reinforced seams. Elegant draping flowing to the hip-length square bottom hemline flatters the torso, giving this full bodied style a classic, almost seasonless look. Fashionable side slits afford subtle flare to the hips and added wearing comfort. Both ¾ length sleeves are finished with buttoning French square cuffs.
