This ingenious Tencel blend is a wonderful combination of fibers that provide much appreciated comfort and “easy care” practicality. Tencel lends weight to create long lines and an elegant drape. For the environmentally conscious, Tencel comes from a creation process using 100% biodegradable cellulose fiber that is processed using an organic solvent, then spun into a luxurious fiber. Our Java fabric print draws inspiration from the weaving patterns of the staple “collecting” baskets used in coffee regions throughout the world. Three distinct basket weaving patterns are showcased here which are commonly used in Central America, South America, the Pacific Islands, and Africa. These patterns are often achieved by using choice natural materials such as reed, tree bark splints, cane, flax, jute, palm fronds, and straw.
